Fellow Membership Details

FELLOW

1) The following persons shall be entitled to apply for registration as “Fellow Members” - 

     a) Associate Members of the Institute who have completed ten (10) years as an Associate Member; 

     b) Persons holding a credit-related professional qualification with at least fifteen (15) years of experience at a senior management capacity in the credit and banking industry; 

     c) Persons with any other professional or academic qualification that is deemed to be suitable and recommended by the Academic Affairs SubCommittee of the Institute from time to time and approved by the Council of Management. 

2) All applications for registration as a Fellow Member should be sent to the Council of Management for consideration and approval.  

3) Approval by the Council of Management of registration as Fellow Member must be unanimous. 

4) All Fellow Members shall be entitled upon payment of their Membership Fees and other dues that may be decided on by the Council of Management from time to time, to use the post-nominal “F.I.C.M (SL)” after their name to indicate that they are Fellow Members of the Institute. 

5) The Council of Management may, at its sole discretion, consider the awarding of Fellow Membership of the Institute as an honorary title to any person it deems fit, including but not limited to the following persons: 

      a) Persons who have made a substantial contribution to the credit and banking industry; 

      b) Persons who have contributed to the development of the Institute; 

      c) Persons with academic and professional achievements in other fields related to the credit and banking industry; 

      d) Persons who the Council of Management think will contribute significantly towards the betterment of the Institute. 

6) All awards of Fellow Membership as an honorary title shall be by unanimous vote of the Council of Management. 

7) All persons who have been awarded Fellow Membership as an honorary title shall be entitled to use the post-nominal “F.I.C.M (SL)” after their name to indicate that they are Fellow Members of the Institute.
